Happy Thursday everyone! And a happy 100th post to me! I can’t believe it myself, but I am officially not a newbie foodie anymore. I’ve made it past the hump and now I’m an experienced blogger(chuckle). I don’t know how experienced I feel quite yet, but maybe eventually it will come to that. I’m still feeling a little out of sorts here lately but I hope to be getting back into the swing of things soon. In honor of my 100th post I am doing a giveaway! Yay! The only thing you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite fall food is. Anything you can think of will do. I would love some good ideas! You have until Tuesday, October 28th at 12:00 noon. I will announce the winners shortly after that. Would you like to know what the giveaways are? Here it goes…
My beautiful mother has kindly donated one of her gorgeous hand made French Linen Aprons. Make sure you check out her site, My French Table. ÂShe sells handmade French Tablecloths and Linens. They are gorgeous and affordable. So to one lucky winner, this apron will be all yours!
And for the last item, I received this wonderful cookbook in the mail, The Gathering of Friends. It is a great cookbook with some great ideas for entertaining and beautiful recipes. So, make sure you post your comment on this post before Tuesday so that you can have a chance at winning one of two fabulous prizes!!
Now onto the recipe!! These muffins are so delicious and moist and tasty that you can’t eat just one. They are filled with fall spices and topped with a brown sugar cinnamon crumble and drizzled with a cinnamon cream cheese glaze. You just can’t beat that combination my friends. And I can only tell you that the aroma of your home while these are baking should be bottled up and made into a candle because it is delightful. I hope you enjoy them and have a great weekend! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway and tell all your friends to enter too!

1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 cup pureed pumpkin
For the Crumble:
1/4 cup brown sugar

3. Using a mixer, mix the butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and the milk and cream. Add pumpkin puree. Do not overmix.
4. Divide batter evenly between the muffin tins, filling to the very top and a little over.

6. In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the glaze. Drizzle over the tops of the muffins.

I wanted to add some more of my favorites now that I have more time. Turtle Pumpkin Pie is always a favorite. I like caramel apples dipped in white chocolate and then brown sugar. I love cranberry and orange muffins. The last thing I will tell you is very broad, but cassaroles. It is nice to be able to turn the oven on and not feel like I’m in a sauna!! PLUS the smell that runs through the house is FANTASTIC.
I love anything hearty… But I love a lentil and rice dish with grated parmesan cheese, my great grandmother used to make it is delish, good for you , and very filling. I loved it as a kid and I still love it as an adult….For dessert pumpkin pie!!! Always! I made the pumpkin spice muffins they came great.
I love fall because I can bake again! Summers are too hot in Arizona! Muffins, breads and rolls.
My favorite fall dessert is pecan pie. I once was a devout follower of the pumpkin pie camp, but the year we had pecan pie at Thanksgiving changed my life… and for the better. My favorite fall dessert that I have made myself is a play on the caramel apple: cinnamon apple cake with caramel frosting. I made cupcakes for an event I catered and it was a huge hit!
It’s hard to pick just one favorite fall food….I’d have to say anything with pumpkin or apples! I also love squash! I don’t know if this is a fall thing or not, but I absolutely love pecan pie…and this is the only time we make it
I LOVE tortellini soup! Or any kind of soup for that matter! I also LOVE pumpkin roll…great, now I’m hungry!!
)
I love creamy soups…butternut squash…pomagranites…fresh baked pumpkin treats…fresh baked cookies…
Your blog looks FANTASTIC! I’ve been following for awhile now. I can’t wait till I can do a 100th post giveaway! I have to say that potato bacon soup tells me that fall is here… the richness of it, the warmth. Being able to stand over the stove that long finally (!) after a long summer. However, acorn squash and corn pudding say it with style! Congrats on the new look, and the 100th post!
My favorite is homemade chile served in a hollowed out pumpkin, with cornbread & honeybutter on the side. Delicious!!!
Pumpkin anything with a cup of chai tea!
While pumpkin and sweets are wonderful, I look forward to white bean chicken chili. So yummy!
My family loves your recipes. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
a girl, her oven, and her camera… a trio of success!

It’s a tough choice, but I think I’d have to say my favorite fall food is pumpkin bread! I love your blog by the way!;)

Zucchini bread! My family inhales this stuff.
I make Pumpkin Crisp instead of Pumpkin Pie for dessert this time of year. It is a winner with both my side and my husband’s side of the family.

Pumpkin Chiffon pie is my all time favorite!
