Peanut Butter Granola Bars
I know I know, it’s been a week since my last post. And I was doing so well last week! But here I am. It has been one week ago today that I did my very first cooking segment on live television. And I have to say, it was a lot of fun. I made myself ill during the week leading up to the day, but once I got there and set everything up, I forgot how nervous I was and just tried to enjoy the moment. And I did! Everyone was so nice and made me feel so comfortable and right at home. I thought I did so much better than I expected myself to (I lack in the confidence department), that is until I decided to watch the segment. I will never do that again. But I am proud of myself, and for that I will hold the memory forever. I just wanted to thank all the locals who watched it for all the nice words of encouragement. It meant a lot to me to get some positive feedback! Anyways, enough about that. On to the recipe.
I posted this on the Cafe Zupas blog last week and I had to post them again here on Stephanie’s Kitchen. My kids loved these healthy little snacks and I will definitely be making them again. You don’t have to add the chocolate, but here again, this wouldn’t be Stephanie’s Kitchen without a little chocolate. I hope you enjoy them and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Peanut Butter Granola Bars
2 cups granola
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
In a bowl, mix together the honey and peanut butter until smooth. Add the granola and mix until well coated. Pat into a 8X8 greased pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Place in a 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Smooth out chocolate over the top of the granola. Chill until set. Cut into squares.
Enjoy!

I saw you on Studio 5 and you did a fabulous job, I thought you looked like a pro! No one would guess it was your first tv appearance. And those apple bread pudding cups look divine!! Way to go!
These look like fun. My kids love granola bars, and so do I. I saw your clip on ksl.com and thought you did great! Watching Utah news made me wish we still lived in Salt Lake (we moved away last summer).

These look great!!! And so easy, which is good for me!
My grandaughters love granola bars, but the store bought ones are expensive and they are too large for one. When I cut them in half, they get so upset because they don’t get a whole one. I am so excited to get this recipe. You were great on Studio 5. You did not appear nervous and did a great job. My family loved the apple cups.
I just watched your segment on line. You did a great job! You weren’t nervous or anything. I will try the apple bread pudding.
These granola bars look really yummy and easy.
Yum, these look amazing! And I like that they also seem very easy to make, that’s always good.
